About Me
Hi! I am a Principal Researcher at Fujitsu Research India. While elite frontier labs are primarily focused on scaling the raw capabilities of foundation models, my research focuses on building the cognitive architecture required to make those models reliable, agentic, and efficient in practice. My current work tackles the immediate bottlenecks of massive base models: long-horizon state management and reliable multi-step logic. I am deeply engaged in guiding LLM reasoning trajectories (such as through Prefix Consensus) and developing reflective recall cycles to enable long-term agentic memory.
Bridging the gap between raw unstructured data and highly capable AI systems has been the continuous thread of my career. Prior to joining Fujitsu, I spent two years as a Staff Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute India – Delhi, where I worked on large language model (LLM) inference optimization, focusing on improving the efficiency, scalability, and deployment of foundation models. Before Samsung, I spent 4.5 wonderful years as a Staff Research Scientist at IBM Research - Almaden.
I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University, where my research focused on developing deep learning frameworks for unstructured and unreliable data. Prior to that, I completed my Master’s in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, where I was awarded the prestigious DAAD Fellowship to conduct my master’s thesis research at the Computer Vision and Remote Sensing Department, Technical University Berlin, Germany. Earlier, I also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, developing deep learning models for dynamic scene classification and object tracking.
My research interests lie in machine learning and deep learning for unstructured data, with a focus on natural language processing, computer vision, and information theory.
